The Reason Behind Cargo Companies Using Pallet Liners Slips Sheets

Used for commercial shipping, for the most part, lip sheets are essentially thin pallet sized sheets made out of laminated paper or plastic. Pallet liners slip sheets are used as a base on which to transport, assemble, store and handle materials as a unit load.

In today’s world with globalization, everything thing is available to us even if it is a thousand miles away in the other corner of the world. A person sitting in China can order something available only in the UK by only paying some extra cash for shipping. Likewise, anything can be delivered or transported in any corner of the world through shipping service, cargo and such. While the products are shipped, they are not the only ones being sent. A lot of people send stuff to remote corners of the world and shipments are sent out on a daily basis by shipping companies. The orders are taken in bulk, not from the customers but on the shipping company’s side to be sent off to a specific location.

The individual packages being sent by people are put together collectively in big cardboard boxes and such. Now, these boxes are further clumped up together by plastic paper and lifted by a forklift to be put in a container. While these plastic wrapped clumps my slip by rubbing against each other, pallet liners slip sheets come to rescue where they provide a surface between the pallet, the plastic wrapped package and other packages that might be assembled on top. This results in the optimal safety of said packages so they may not slip and their components may not get broken or damaged.

These are not only used in faraway travels but in store moving around of packages as well. Considering the number of orders made daily by residential customers, business owners and just generally the transport of goods of the same company from one location to another location we can imagine how much in use these slip sheets actually are. As their name suggests, their primary function is to prevent packages from slipping when piled on top of each other. Slip sheets in some cases also provide a much better alternative to pallets. Unlike pallets, they are not bulky at all but rather very slim in appearance and use. They take up less space and are a lot more durable than wooden pallets. On average a slip sheet takes 1/30 ratio of the space occupied by a pallet making it an important factor in the significant decrease of shipment costs.

Slip sheets are generally reliable, reusable and recyclable making them the perfect option for companies who are thinking of going green or are already environmentally friendly. A drawback of slip sheets it, however, it may not provide a lot of protection to the packages and boxes in case of a spill on the floor and also drawing or dragging a slip sheet loaded with cargo might damage it. In any case with the latest lifting options available, handling should not be an issue as pallet liners slip sheets have more pros than cons.
