In Dehli, Beijing, Istanbul or Clampham, rubbish clearance in Clampham is not crucial for us only but the
planet we are living in and those creatures that we are sharing this planet
with. When it comes to the plastic waste, getting rid of the waste is not any
less than saving your live and natural life on the earth.
Where is Plastic
Used?
This is a wrong question to begin with. The real question
that can explain the dependence of our lives on plastic is that ‘where the
plastic is not used’. There isn’t even a single area of out that is not being
supported in little or whole way by the plastic in any shape, form or nature.
From insulators to locks, from wire covers to wall covers, from bottlers to
vehicles, from cutlery to weapons, what field or place is not occupied by
plastic.
This overwhelming dependence on plastic has multiplied the
plastic waste around the earth by thousand folds in last couple of decades. And
the bad news is the statistics are not coming down any time soon.
Harms of Plastic Waste:
Plastic poses considerable threats while in good form as it
has the potential to infiltrate its chemicals to the food items and liquids
being kept inside it. Environmental condition, human health and wildlife all
these three elements that are responsible for the smooth functions of the
planet earth are threatened and endangered by the poison that plastic produces.
Human Health:
It is without any doubt true that the plastic is an
inexpensive organic material that has the capability of performing multi tasks
because of its unique chemical composition. It can be as hard as a rock and as
mild as liquid. It can cover things in form of sheets and it can hold materials
as a pot. But all these benefits are not without any price. And they price is
our own health. Plastic is formed in a particular way by adding many chemicals
and making it go through many processes. These chemical inside the plastic can
harm the human health. For instance, hot food inside a plastic plate can absorb
many of harmful chemicals in plastic and can be imported to human body. These
chemicals affect the thyroid and produce many hormonal issues in human body.
Wildlife:
We are not the only ones around. This planet is full of the
most beautiful creatures that human eyes have ever seen. They are not only a
charming sight but are indispensible for the survival of this planet. But our
careless ventures put the lives of these harmless creatures at risk. It’s us
who use plastic but the bigger price is paid by the animals around the globe.
Environment:
Our environment is contaminated with the hundreds and
thousands of tons of plastic. The worst fact about the plastic is it doesn’t
die. They bottle that your great grandfather threw away after having a soft
drink three decades ago would be here around somewhere in some form. And what you are going to throw today is
going to last forever.
